About
Women in Power Empowering is a Tarrant County based Black giving circle of women. Our mission is to create opportunities for women to overcome obstacles by providing financial awards and awareness.
Women in Power Empowering makes a difference in the lives of women experiencing socioeconomic hardship through our Empowerment Fund, women-owned business through our Business Empowerment Award, and women in crisis through our Women Impact Grant. We assist Tarrant County women overcome financial barriers who may not otherwise qualify for public assistance.
Women in Power Empowering is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
2024 Business Award Recipient
CHAMP (Community Healing and Mental Health Project)
Congratulations to our 2024 recipient of our $2,000 Business Empowerment Fund Award, CHAMP. CHAMP (Community Healing And Mental Health Project) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded by Lachelle Goodrich, and created in response to the tragic loss of Atatiana Jefferson in Fort Worth. CHAMP is dedicated to fostering conversations about mental health, breaking down stigma, and promoting healing within black and brown communities. Through innovative programs like Unity Healing Camps and its Mobile Mental Wellness Unit, CHAMP aims to improve mental health outcomes, reduce youth incarceration rates, and address challenges such as teen gun violence, all while building brighter futures for underserved communities.
2024 Women Impact Grant Recipient
Community Food Bank
Congratulations to our 2024 Women Impact Grant Recipient, Community Food Bank. They are providing a much needed service in our community fighting hunger and poverty with food, education, programs, and resources to families in a dignified, personal, and timely manner without zip code restrictions. They will use the $2,000 grant to directly support women in need by providing financial help for unforeseen expenses.

Those who participate will be highlighted on our website and social media with a photo and a statement on why they give. Collectively we can empower women across Tarrant County overcome barriers to personal, professional, and educational goals.
