Give 8/28 Wine Mixer and Fundraiser

Join us for our annual celebration of Black Philanthropy at our Give 8/28 Wine Mixer and Fundraiser. We will celebrate Black Philanthropy Month while raising to support our efforts of empowering women, women-owned businesses, and nonprofits serving women and girls in crisis. Our event will be hosted at the beautiful Lost Oak Winery in Burleson, TX where we will provide the perfect ambiance with music, food, dancing, and, of course, WINE!

Give 8/28 is an initiative of the Young Black and Giving Back Institute to celebrate Black-led and Black-benefitting nonprofits with an annual giving day. It is the ONLY giving day dedicated to giving back to Black nonprofits. August 28th is a significant date throughout Black History. It is the date that Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his iconic I Have A Dream Speech, Hurricane Katrina made landfall, and Barack Obama accepted the Democratic nomination for president. We are a proud participating Black nonprofit.

Individual tickets are $40 and we have a few tables of 8 available for $400. If you would like a table, but do not need all 8, we also accept half-table purchases.  All individual tickets will include food and your first glass of wine. Full table purchases include food, 2 bottles of wine, and 1 raffle ticket per person. Half-table purchases include food, 1 bottle of wine, and 1 raffle ticket per person. 

RSVP today, and pay later once giving starts. All who RSVP will receive a donation link to finalize the RSVP. Payments will also be accepted at the door. Table purchases will need to be made by August 16th.
